As a local business it’s important to us to contribute to and support our local community. So, we are proud to sponsor and support the team at Beresford Street Kitchen for the second year running.

Beresford Street Kitchen provides workplace opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism, giving them the opportunity to develop workplace skills in an inclusive, safe and supportive environment.

BSK has a fantastic café (you have to try the Breakfast), a catering company and printworks where approximately 45 people with additional needs are able to undergo pre-employment work placements, traineeships and apprenticeships to gain practical workplace experience.

Last year we sponsored three BSK trainees and this year we are pleased to be one of the first supporters of BSK’s new bursary scheme.

The £10,000 Ardent Bursary will allow BSK to give a full year of training in the hospitality or printing industry to one of the BSK team and once they finish their training, BSK will support them into employment outside of the scheme.

Georgie Dodd, Fundraising Manager,  Beresford Street Kitchen said:

“We could not do this without the supporters like Ardent. This year we have launched our Bursary scheme and Ardent was one of the first supporters of this. A bursary is a bespoke program designed specifically to the individual. We have 45 bursaries to fill, so we are looking for support from local businesses to help sponsor these positions.”

We’re pleased to be able to contribute, even just a little bit, to BSK’s success and would urge you to contact Georgie at info@aspirejersey.je if your business could sponsor a bursary this year.
